Greg Salvatori Unveils New Art Show All About Textures and Vibrant Colors
Greg Salvatori transforms the tower of Provincetown into a symbol of safety, child-like joy, and self-expression for a community often struggling to find a home. For the artist the tower metaphor is both cultural and personal. Raised as a Jehovah Witness, Salvatori grew up in the shadow of the Watchtower, the religion’s dominant symbol, an image of oppression and hate. The Series captures his own journey from one kind of tower to another, from haunted, hurtful symbol of his past into magical and triumphant works of joy and acceptance today.
Titled "Vivid Hopes,” this series presents a collection of acrylic paintings that invite viewers into a world of vibrant imagination. Salvatori’s work incorporates novel materials and innovative applications, creating textured canvases that are both visually striking and deeply expressive.
