NIGHTS

Greg Salvatori combines several original prints into complex, three-dimensional collages. He creating a final art object with bold dramatic colors, layers of paper, and a playful evocation of doll houses.

The outer layer is made with photographs of buildings and architectural details shot at night, immersed in the dark blue hues of moonlight. These windows and portholes are hand cropped one by one to open into imaginary interior rooms. Mysterious men populate these rooms, hand cropped original prints of studio photographs of models, exes and friends.

In some of these scenes, Greg Salvatori glues in the layers mystery notes, breakup letters, train tickets, and the seal the secrets he shared with these men.
