ALPHA DOGS - Anthropomorphic portraits with props

Greg pokes fun at our leaders with an anthropomorphic portrait series featuring visual metaphors of power and influence. The tone is playful but the question is inevitable: are these leaders of the pack top dogs or just puppies needing for validation? Each picture is a manifestation of Greg’s imagination. He starts with a vision, an image in his mind that becomes a sketch on paper. He then designs the set and the precise lighting - a signature element of his style. When everything is on point, Greg calls in his Albert - the yellow Lab - and shoots and plays organically for a few minutes. After multiple shoots spread through different days, the magic finally happens: everything falls into place and the scene, the pose, the dog’s expression and the mood come together to match the image in Greg’s mind.
